College basketball the most horrific moments

Just like with every other sport are scandals and tragedies plentiful and relentless. Story after story is again in all forms of media, and yet every sport still thrives with popularity. College basketball is a sport that a growing popularity, despite its sometimes gruesome past. Here are the top four most horrific moments in college basketball history.

o In 1991, three players of the University of Las Vegas were photographed in a hot tub with Richie the fixer Perry. After pleading guilty to sports bribery, brought Richie Perry a year in prison, among many other previous convictions. This solitary photo took the basketball world by surprise. Tarkanian, the coach, was completely shocked that his players were hanging out with someone of Perry's reputation. Eventually, due to some other circumstances, Tarkarnian was forced to resign in 1992.

o In 1990 Kevin Mackey, the Cleveland State coach was arrested. A tip had come that Mackey did crack in an infamous crack House. Police and reporters both responded and found Mackey coming out of the crack house with a prostitute.

o Len Bias was a very promising player, and was described as a "bigger, stronger version of Michael Jordan". But unfortunately, his basketball career was cut short when he was found dead (1986) of a cocaine overdose. This happened just two days after the Boston Celtics made him number two in the NBA draft.

o Patrick Dennehy, another promising player, mysteriously disappeared. A few weeks later, his body turned up, and then his teammate Carlton Dotson admitted to the murder. It was a very tragic time for college basketball, and nobody even watched his coach, Dave Bliss. But with some other tensions in college basketball, an intensive examination has taken place. Some very disturbing things have emerged, including Bliss comment that he kind of Dennehy setting up. He was talked about starting rumors that Dennehy sold drugs-to declare the money that him with Bliss of aid was slipped. He also said that Dennehy never could be to defend themselves because he is dead.

Even though there is terrible event after horrific event, college basketball seems to heal self go and reach even more popularity.
